At Last…

The novel is finished.  Finished!  It was completed on October 25th.  I am so sick of the thing I am not sure I will go back and edit it for a couple of months at the soonest.  From here on – writing is going to be done via computer.  At last, it is done.  Now all I need to do is gear up for NaNoWriMo.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.

Congratulations! But do give yourself a day or two break, just to give those creative juices a bit of time to disengage from the last project, and recuperate from “finish the darn thing” fatigue.

I’ve found I cannot edit immediately, myself. I can’t even proofread — I will read what I thought I wrote, not what’s on the paper, if I try too soon. But I do try to keep track of what sections I go back and peek at. Doing so sometimes points out what works well, if I keep loving it, or what needs work, if I keep frowning as I put it away.
