A Quiet Evening

The Husband and I watched movies last night. Movies – plural. Sadly, I fell asleep on the third one – MIB. Before this was Hellboy, and I can’t remember what was before the snarky Hellboy. It still makes me smile. So do the comics.

This was the first time The Husband and I sat up late and just watched movies and chilled in a couple of months. It felt good just to simply be side-by-side.

The dogs were also appreciative because Wicket took up post on my lower legs and feet; Dottie took up my lap. Willie was curled up beside me on the couch. Chewie was beside me, and Bonnie, of course, was directly before The Husband. They were all peacefully asleep. The feeling of ‘peace’ practically vibrated from them.

You know that feeling, right? The feeling that comes when you are in the right place at the right time?

Zen.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.
