It is so gloomy outside my window I simply don’t have the heart to share it at all. Just take my word for it if you don’t mind.

How is everyone on this Thursday?

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.

A bit late to the game, as it’s now early Monday morning. Between bad weather and a mysteriously injured set of muscles and joints, Thursday sucked.

Friday had dinner with friends, Saturday went to a costume party (went as black-robed Chicago police officer who beats vampires to death with his walking stick) and then off to an art gallery today to see my partner’s art hanging as part of a group show. This is so unusually social of me; I think I must have replaced myself with an alien. (Is that possible?) And the mysterious injury seems to be SLOWLY healing.

However, it’s now Monday in the middle of the night, I have insomnia, and I’m drinking coffee, because it doesn’t actually keep me up. Accelerate my heart rate, raise my blood pressure, give me gastric reflux, possibly trigger a migraine, but it doesn’t keep me awake. I guess I really am an alien, after all. Either that or a normally screwed-up human. Or maybe an abnormally screwed-up human — I’m not sure where to draw the line there. Suggestions are welcome.
