Busy?

The clock is fast moving toward Midnight and I still have no words down on the novel KMGN07-22-2016MovingForwardPictoday.  *sigh*  I hate it when days like this happen.  I mean, I’ve been extremely active today and I can even say there were accomplishments.  It is just…well…they weren’t my accomplishments really.

We only have the one laptop now, and two tablets – one each.  Today The Husband needed to apply for jobs so I volunteered to help.  I am a quick typist and he was relieved I agreed to do the typing.  So, he sat next to me or played with the dogs while I asked him questions from applications and where he wanted to apply to next.  By the time this task was finished it was almost eight o’clock in the evening.  We hadn’t eaten anything either, so supper was high on the list of things to do before writing.

Now it is past eleven in the evening and I’m just now settling in, and down, for some writing.  I could skip tonight, of course, but skipping feels like I’m shirking, and, worse!  Like I’m not interested in writing this novel.  So, regardless of how long I get to write tonight, I want to make sure and get words, good words down.

So, how was everyone else’s day?  Productive?  Not so much?  I hope you at least were able to enjoy your day at least in part.

About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.

I spent that day gearing up and traveling to take my elderly mother to three appointments with doctors, one of which was a minor disaster (events, not her health), but one of which gave a great medical result. So a mixed bag.

Oh, and I hit the local sci-fi/fantasy bookstore looking for interesting/light reads. Sarah Kuhn’s “Heroine Complex” fit the bill for lively and funny, engaging though not very original in plot.

  2. U had a busy day, but stuck with your plan to write as planned. Kudos to you. In response to your question, for the past three days I have been on our Annual Mother-Daughter vacation. The two daughter and grands are treating me to a wonderful vacation — morning walks, home cooked meals, quiet times sitting on the front porch looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, quality time with the loves of my life, etc. I am grateful and blessed.

More like semi-productive – took care of some little things, but settling in for some writing/editing today.
