Very little story writing will get done today because we are having an impromptu D&D game session tonight. Normally this comraderie and sword swinging and spell casting happens on Tuesday nights, but the roomies just came back from their vacation and went straight to work. Yesterday was sort of a fluke they both suddenly had off and I believed they deserved as much quiet time as they could get. Afterall, this is their house. However, requests were made for a pick up game and I relinquished. Running a game is a wonderful idea to see how well a story idea really works when you throw in unknown variables, like the player chacacters.
I am still mulling over the re-worked Chapter One from yesterday. There really is a lot more action and I’m kind of worried the main character may be a little lost in this version. I also brought another character in from later on in the story. Have I introduced them too soon? Does this change the dynamic of the story itself? Gah! Questions won’t be answered until more of the story gets down in the current version. Regardless, the story is still exciting to me.
