Perry Mason

Every evening The Husband and I watch the old black and white Perry Mason episodes.  We sit side by side and carefully go through the evidence.  We have decided Mr. Mason doesn’t play fair:  He always holds something back to spring at the last moment.

These shows added to my noir love and the first book in the Perry Mason series.

There is much happy in my reading list.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.

Oh, I remember watching those, too, with my mother, who was a great fan of Raymond Burr/Perry Mason. (I’m not sure exactly which one is was she liked, and I don’t think it matters.)

I have a related gripe with the original Sherlock Holmes stories: sometimes Conan Doyle gives you all the clues, but often he doesn’t.

The old Perry Masons are still my go-to on stressful days. I love their simplicity and yet intricacy. So much fun!
