The Post-9/11 Veteran and Middle East Studies –

I have been folloing Carrying the Gun for a while and have never been disappointed in learning something new or being entertained.  This article, hands down, is one of the best articles I’ve read concerning this topic.  It not only gave just a bit more insight into a friend of mines interest in MES from their experience in the Middle Eastern “conflict” as a soldier, but also showed the misinformation and almost apathy about what was/is happening “over there”: i.e. “…there were only 30 U.S. casualties…” in said conflict.

About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.
