Football Sunday

A lot is going on, as you can well imagine, but wanted to check in while I was watching The Packers.

More boxes are packed and now I realize several of them are going to have to be opened and re-packed because I need a few things out of them before they go to storage.  Isn’t this pretty much how it goes in packing and moving?  You always seem to pack too much or too little, or you need something you’ve already packed away?  This is one of my most disfavored things about moving.

The worst part is my knitting and knitting supplies are all packed away and my hands are itching to do something of ab evening, especially since The Husband still has his painting supplies and figures out.  He paints nearly every evening and there isn’t anything for me to do except watch TV or go into the bedroom and play video games.  Yes, I LOVE video games, but love spending quiet time with my husband, too.  Sitting beside him of an evening is one of my favorite things to do of a day.  Being able to knit beside him while he paints figures is just one of those “homey” moments, events, that puts the day into perspective and encourages any of the “bad” that’s happened to just slip away.  Now I don’t have the relaxation of doing this, but, tonight I may just unpack the knitting box and pull out some yarn and needles.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and the week ahead will be great without any drama and trauma.

About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.
