The staycation was wonderful! There was a sinus infection for part of it, but being away from the computer for the past few days/weeks was just what the doctor ordered for getting the creative juices flowing again and organization projects finished and ready to implement beginning Monday.
It was actually difficult to stay away from the laptop. Other than checking one e-mail account I ignored e-mail in general. Instead I played Destiny on Xbox 360 and Diablo III, also for the 360. There has also been excellent quality time with The Husband and The Dogs. I didn’t truly realize how much time I spend on the laptop, the Internet, and writing in general until I forced me to take this break. The break gave me an excellent focusing tool, which, for now, I will keep under my hat until I see fully if it is as spectacular as I believe it to be.
News in general: The wheelchair is back and working! This means I did not just sit in the apartment during the staycation. Oh no! I made it out to the mall and planned several other jaunts out about town. Getting away from the apartment in the nice warm Spring weather added to the general wonderfulness of this past little while. At first I was a little leery of getting out solo because of the past history with the chair, but my fears were unfounded. The guy who fixed my chair this last time actually fixed my chair. I believe he understood more of the necessity of having my chair because he is in a wheelchair himself. The Husband and I have talked about taking R out to dinner for his wonderful service.
As I mentioned before, there is a sinus infection going on. I am on antibiotics and they are beginning to slowly remove the headache firmly ensconced in my forehead. It isn’t surprising there is sinus issues – this is my time of year when my face simply doesn’t like the world at large. Once the blooming is done, especially of the trees outside the apartment door, a miracle will happen: No more sinus issues. Until Fall.
People are heading over so I’ll stop here and pick up tomorrow.
Have a great weekend everyone!
