KMGN: Some of my favorite movies are on this list so I wanted to make sure and share it, since GeekOut South West has done all the work for us. If you know of any more movies not on said list, please let me know. Hope you choose to watch some of these films yourself. They are amazing pieces of story-telling.
Whilst a lot of fans of Studio Ghibli will have no doubt already heard about this news, however the studio which gave us some of the best critically acclaimed anime movies is now coming to an end. Yes folks, Studio Ghibli is closing down.
However, as I and Joel were looking into this more today, there’s talks that the studio isn’t simply “closing down” but simply “restructuring”. This is because yesterday Studio Ghibli announced it was temporarily halting production following the retirement of director Hayao Miyazaki. A…ha… Never-the-less, we thought it’d be nice to actually look through some of Studio Ghibli’s glorious past!
As a way of saying “Goodbye” to what feels like a familiar old friend of ours, I thought I’d give us a chronological look through some of Studio Ghibli’s works. But, take heed reader: They were around for 29 years!
