Rainy Sunday

This has been an interesting weekend from the very start.  Friday I slipped and “fell” but my trusty Willie was there to help me.  Saturday, yesterday, was a very uncomfortable day for me physically because it was post-fall and my body just wasn’t happy to be me.  However, after a lot of wine last night and lots of sleep, the body feels a little better; the shoulder is still upset.

Even though I slept far later than what I probably should have, when I finally pulled up to the kitchen table the glass door was open and the screen in place to let in the sound of the rain and the coolness of the natural day instead of A/C.  This helped me feel better over all.  The Husband knows just how to make me feel better.

Since I am feeling better, we are having people over for pizza and a “kung fu” movie.  What movie?  Not exactly sure.  This will be an adventure in and of itself.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.

  1. Fresh air, a cool breeze is very uplifting. Glad to know you are feeling better after your fall.

After the recent hot weather, yesterday’s coolness was indeed a relief.
