Warming Up The Fingers And The Mind

There is a lot of blogging to catch up on.  I did not post one single writing assignment for Writing 101.  Somewhere along the way I lost so much energy I was mostly just a zombie throughout the days and sleeping so hard at night it was practically impossible to wake the brain up the next day.  As each day passed I was in an energy deficit and it just kept getting worse and worse.  Yesterday I slept all day and the night before.  I did not get up until about 3:30-4:00 PM and stayed up until 1:41 AM and then went directly back to bed.  The Husband had to wake me up three times this morning before I could actually make myself really wake up.

Sometimes the body takes over and all you can do is say “Yes, ma’am” to it.

Since getting up today, though, there has been some energy.  More than a thimble full!  I am extremely excited by this and may just try and get some writing done, more than just 2 or 3 hundred words, but MORE!  No, I am not going to push myself too far.  I can’t.  At the same time, I also can’t just sit and do nothing.

A friend of mine suggested reading.  For her, reading perks up her brain and gives it something to do when she is feeling overwhelmed or too-energetic.  There is a book I have picked out to read, one I have looked forward to reading for a while, and there are some very interesting books I picked up from the library the last time.  Since there is reading material I should start on something and get it read and finished, if possible.  Maybe after reading for a little while I can then return to the computer and get some work done.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.
