Rainy Weather And Under The Weather

This afternoon there was a lovely storm with thunder and lightning and thunderous rain.  The drops were about the size of old fifty cent pieces on the ground and pavement.  It was a wonderful storm just to sit with all the electronics off and read, or write.  I am afraid I did very little of either because I am a bit under-the-weather today.  It isn’t due to the arthritis either.  I just feel…blah.

For the past few days no matter how much sleep I try to get of a night it is never a good restful one.  For the life of me I keep waking up.  There isn’t a reason, as in a noise or the dogs bark, squalling tires, or sirens – since I do live in a moderate city.  I just wake up.  It then takes me a few minutes to go back to sleep, but I never sleep fully, like I was before waking up the first time.  It is most annoying.

Tonight I am taking a little help from over-the-counter.  Hopefully there won’t be consistent waking tonight.

Wish me luck, blogosphere!

Good night.

About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.

Hope you’re feeling better – send the rain to the western part of KY please!

  2. Hope you’re fast asleep by now. (But I’m writing this at 5.20am, so I know some of that insomniac feeling.)
