And A Story Comes To A Close?

Troy James Knapp glances at the prosecution during a sentencing hearing at the Fifth District Court Monday, June 9, 2014, in St. George, Utah.

Utah ‘Mountain Man’ gets 10 ½ years in prison.

A while ago there was a post about this man in this blog.  I have often wondered what became of him when he was arrested.  Now we know:  He will spend a considerable time in a federal prison, mostly for stealing weapons – guns and other firearms.

It was suggested the man, Troy James Knapp, write a book about his experiences and explain what he was doing in the mountains of Utah alone for so long.  So far he hasn’t responded to any of this.

There is something about the picture in this story that makes me nervous.  There is something primal in me that says “This man is dangerous.”

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.
