Renewed

Yesterday I escaped to Barnes & Noble Books for a few hours after a doctor’s appointment. I relaxed, roamed the stacks, had a delicious blueberry muffin with a regular coffee (yes, I know, shocking), and The Husband arrived a little bit later to take me to dinner. After dinner we returned to B&N and relaxed for a few more hours.

I know I needed to be out of the house and The Husband needed to rest, too. He is always so busy with taking care of me, taking care of the dogs, helping at Church, helping his dad, and keeping the world in the proper order he rarely takes time to relax and decompress, but he did yesterday and I could tell a big difference this morning when he headed off to work.
A really amazing thing happened yesterday: The Husband bought himself a Nook tablet! For the first time ever he sat and read an entire book on my first gen Nook and loved it. It surprised me when he purchased the Nook tablet, and he said he would probably be purchasing another one. Hmmm, I wonder who that one could be for? It is taking all of my resolve not to squee! I don’t know when I will be getting the Nook tablet, and to be honest I don’t mind. Just knowing there is one in my future makes me very happy. The one he chose is bigger than the current Nook, and I could really use something larger for reading and note-taking.

Cheyenne brought my PC back. It is once again established firmly in the office, and so am I. Ubuntu has been installed, and, though it isn’t 100% perfect, it is operating wonderfully.
Moving back into the office has helped clear up a lot of the writing malaise. The office itself isn’t back together, but WHRT’s pages are beside me, the story bible for it is here, and the words are once more flowing on the projects already in the works instead of other things from left field. I will still be using the laptop my wonderful Husband let me borrow – and thanks also to Cheyenne for letting me borrow his laptop when I was completely computer-less – , but mostly for video chats until I figure out how to get them working through Ubuntu.

It is time to get back to work on WHRT.! There is excitement! Yesterday I escaped to Barnes & Noble Books for a few hours after a doctor’s appointment. About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.

My mother enjoys her Nook, though I think she could use an upgrade to the tablet from her Nook Color.
