It Is 9 Degrees Outsidee

Today the high is supposed to be 10° F.  It is after two o’clock in the afternoon and we have not reached the high yet.  The five-day forecast doesn’t give us too much of a difference either.  We are also supposed to get more snow.

Lexington has opened “warming shelters” downtown.  One homeless man has already died because of the cold.  Anyone in the Lexington area, if you have blankets you don’t need, please take them to the warming shelters. They need all the help they can get.  We have already given several this year and are currently out.

It is also too cold for pets to stay outside, please bring them in and give them, perhaps, a little extra food and water.  It is also very easy to make a feral feline house and affordable.

Writing News: The ghost story has really taken flight.  Now, along with a ghost, there are possible mafia connections!  The story is moving ahead nicely now and I am almost reading the thing as it is written!

I am not going to try to determine the length of the ghost story.  I am just going to enjoy it and let the story happen.

Now, back to the Ink Mines!

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.
