Vin Diesel’s Radical Idea: Sequels Shouldn’t Suck – Music, Celebrity, Artist News | MTV.com.

You can’t doubt Vin Diesel on this one – sequels do NOT have to suck!  Maybe this man will begin a trend, and a better one than the current remake-all-of-the-great-movies-from-years-gone-by.  Trust me producers, actors, backers, etc. – you shouldn’t touch some movies for a remake.  No matter how good the re-make may be in your head or even in the theater:  It isn’t going to be as good as the original.

Come on folks!  Where is the originality?  Has America dumbed down its citizenry so much there is nothing new and original out there to write or movie to make?  I refuse to believe this.  I think it is just pure laziness on the part of the film industry.  You don’t have to work as hard on a re-make of a great story because the hardest part is already done – the story.

About Henrietta Handy

I am a Kentucky mountain girl far from home, perhaps far from the girl years. I am an aspiring writer with a wonderful husband who puts up with this writing and reading addiction I have. He also puts up with all of the yarn and knitting. I have four canine children and a ton of friends I love dearly. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 2 1/2 and have still managed to have a good life despite all the pain. So, I invite you to join me in this journey and just possibly have fun along the way.
