Hello Dear Readers,

It has been a while hasn’t it?  I am sorry for the silence.  There has been a pretty good bout of pain because of the arthritis and there has also been a death in my family.  My cousin Cheerleader was diagnosed with cancer in late June or early July and she passed away yesterday, Wednesday, August 21; at the age of 51.  She would have been 52 in December.  Cheerleader and her sister were my first girlfriends and possibly friends in general.  Her illness, and now passing, is very difficult for me.  I never would have suspected her of passing before me because she was so very active and healthy.  Always.

Life changing moment – I has it.

About Henrietta Handy

I have returned home to the mountains. No more am I "a mountain-girl far from home." Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 2 1/2, I understand pain, fatigue, laughter, joy, and love all while on crutches and in wheelchairs. This blog is just about me, mostly the writing side, but there are forays into so many different topics. I am married to a wonderful husband who puts up with my writing, knitting, yarn, with the love of a saint. We have fur babies, and one cat who rules us all.
