Yes, I’m at Barnes & Noble. For a while today I was beginning to think I wasn’t going to get here at all. WHEELS was late. Yes, I know, this is nothing new. What was new was that it was over a 1/2 hour late! The driver, Tommy, was someone I had never ridden with before, but he was a nice enough young man who made the ride here pleasant and my nervousness and unease did dissipate the closer I got to the place, but I did have to take a nerve pill once I got here. I think it was mostly because I was just tired from not sleeping last night and it had been forever since I have been here to write and read and relax.
I need to relax.
I need to write more.
There are several rather large writing projects on my plate (all of them non-fiction) that need attending to this weekend, plus St. Andrew’s Antiochian Orthodox Church‘s Heritage Festival which is happening this weekend, and, of course, I must go there.
A new path is opening up before me and it is dimly lit at the moment; I can’t see what is lying before me so I’m taking steps slowly and carefully and trying very hard not to fall flat on my face as I proceed forward. It involves helping fellow people with disabilities, tai chi, and mobility issues…I think.
Yes, I needed today just be here…to write and relax and get my head on straight and just be.
